About the Internet Schools Directory
ISD is a directory of all Australian non-government primary and secondary (k-12) schools.
Directory users
The Directory is specifically aimed at parents who are looking for schools for their children.
Most start by looking in search engines such as Google, without any specific school in mind. Very often, they just don't know what schools may be appropriate, and so this Directory is ideal. 40-50% of directory users are local, about 30% are interstate, and the rest are international users. International users include both foreign nationals and returning expatriates.
Since 1996, school entries have been looked up about 2 million times.
Independent and comprehensive
ISD is independent of any school, school type and school association. ISD will include every school, irrespective of a school's associations, affiliations or teaching methods.
If you believe any school is missing from the directory, please let us know about it. Our aim is to be as complete and up-to-date as possible!
Every school
All schools are included at no cost.
Bold schools
Some schools pay a very small annual fee to have a bold entry in the directory. Typically, these schools wish to attract extra enrolments, as the bold school entries provide additional features - specifically aimed at establishing personal contact between prospective parents and your school.
